Activities in The Woodlands

Events & Activities

On any given day there are a multitude of activities to choose from in The Woodlands. Whether you want to take the kids to the park, pick up a game of disc golf, maybe even take up a new hobby, like painting or cooking. You can participate in one of the many charity events held here throughout the year or spend the day at a festival or show, you'll never run out of Things to do in The Woodlands.

Activities for Kids of all Ages

The Woodlands is home to an ever-growing population of young people, and they're all looking for the same thing; "something" to do! Fortunately, The Woodlands has a multitude of activities for kids of all ages, all year round. From multi-platinum artists' concerts at the Pavilion to free concerts at Northshore Park. Skating at one of nine wheel-friendly parks, or swimming at one of The Woodlands thirteen area pools. Sports and local band nights for tweens at the Gorilla Hole, and things to do with your preschooler seven days a week. There's no for your kids to say there's nothing to do here in The Woodlands! SculpTours

There are more than 50 outdoor sculptures in The Woodlands. How many have you seen and what do you know about them? Take a ride with Tony Motto and explore and learn about the outdoor art in The Woodlands. Two seperate tours are available - one for the east including Town Center and the other covering the western half. Outdoor Sculpture Tours

Festivals

Several festivals and other outdoor events held throughout the year in Town Center. Festival events are frequently held on the Great Lawn in Town Green Park including IWOW, the annual Crawfish festival, and the annual Waterway Arts Festival. The annual Red, Hot & Blue festival (July 4th) is such a large event that it is spread out between Waterway Square and Town Green Park while other festivities are held only at Waterway Square. The annual Winter Wonderland and Ice Rink are held in what could be described as the middle of Town Center (corner of Six Pines and Lake Robbins drive) between Market Street and Tinseltown 17. Shopping in The Woodlands

The Woodlands Mall contains over 150 different merchants, services, restraurants and stores, from the national chains at anchors to the local independant shops. The Market Street Shopping Center features several restaurants and a wide variety of shopping experiences. The open air mall area also features a boutique hotel (Hyatt's AVIA hotel) and Central Park, with a small fountain area for the kids to play. Shopping Centers

Northshore Park Concerts

Free concerts during the spring and fall along Lake Woodlands at Northshore Park in Panther Creek Village. The bi-annual events are held on Sunday evenings. Bring your own chairs, blankets, beverages and enjoy the free entertainment courtesy of the  The Township Parks and Recreation Department. Live music at Northshore Park

Waterway Square Activities

The Woodlands Waterway Waterwall Fountain located near the intersection of Waterway Avenue and Waterway Square Drive is home to a large variety of annual events and festivities.  The 120' Waterwall and fountain is the centerpiece of Waterway Square. A variety of events are held at the Waterway ranging from kids (primarily) activities to fun for the entire family, free music events, and more.
