The Woodlands, Tx Area Summer CampsEach summer, millions of kids attend a camp of some sort, but for many parents the process of selecting the right camp can be a daunting experience. So what's the best way to choose a summer camp to fit your child? Peg Smith, the chief executive officer of the American Camp Association, shared her tips for choosing the right camp. Smith says there is a lot more to be gained from the camp experience for children than just time away from home. "It's essential to the education of the whole child because they are learning life skills. This oftentimes is their first real opportunity to learn life skills such as independence, social skills, sportsmanship, leadership and self confidence." As summer nears, our list of Summer Camps in The Woodlands will continue to grow, giving parents the most inclusive and complete information on summer programs throughout the area. This year, our list has more than doubled again from the past; look for Sports & Games Summer Camps to be listed separately from Educational & Skills Camps, which are listed below. To see any of the camps on the second page, click on their name in the right column below or simply skip ahead to page two! And don't forget to check out the Woodlands Township Summer Camps, where a whole variety of day camps are being offered this summer! |
