baking skills camp in the woodlandsReturning this year is another perfectly sweet summer camp option; Summer Bake Camp is being offered by Perfect Blend Bakery & Cafe on Sawdust Road. This fun and flavorful camp is for boys and girls, ages 5-15. Each day will focus on a different baked good. Choose from: Oozy Gooey Snacks Chefs; Cake Decorating Chefs; Gourmet Dog Treats Chefs; Gourmet Pizza & Cinnamon Rolls Chefs; Pioneer Days Chefs; Cookie Monster Chefs; and Rollie Pollie Cake Balls Chefs.

Held each week beginning June 7 - August 18 on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons from 1:00 - 4:00 PM, call or stop in for pricing information and to register. robot design and engineering camps in the woodlandsAt Robots-4-U, campers have a blast, while learning and playing in a dynamic environment! Budding engineers will enjoy learning about robotics and science in a independent and exciting way. At the end of the day, your camper meets new friend, and will want to talk about their creation right through supper time. Any day that a child learns through playing, and begs to come back not just the next day, but next week or year, you know you hit the jackpot for a camp!

Held in two locations this year, at Holiday Inn Express in Spring, and at the Best Western Plus in The Woodlands at College Park, Robots-4-U is a fantastic opportunity for kids ages 7-14 to expand their understanding of gears, circuitry and motors. Camps are limited to 16 campers per session, so sign up early to guarantee your child's spot! Camp is Monday - Friday each session, from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Campers need to provide their own lunch, drinks and snacks. At Holiday Inn Express located at 24888 I-45 N (Northbound), Spring 77386, choose from the weeks of June 20 - 24, July 11 - 15, or August 8 - 12. At Best Western Plus located at 17081 I-45 S (Northbound), The Woodlands 77385, choose from the weeks of June 27 - July 1, or August 15 - 19. All camps have half day sessions: morning sessions are 9:00 - 11:30 AM; afternoon sessions are 12:30 - 3:00 PM (full-day options available at registration for additional fee). The Rubicon Academy is committed to providing a challenging and enjoyable learning experience for those families who believe that character and academic accomplishments are vital to success. Rubicon is offering a variety of fun and educational summer camp programs at their campus in the far northeast border of The Woodlands, at FM 1488 and College Park Drive.

Starting in late June, campers ages 5-12 can enjoy Camp Einstein: Engineering Camp. Transform into an engineer with hands-on projects in this exciting and challenging summer camp. Build roller coasters and hovercrafts. Learn about solar power and build race cars! Design catapults and trebuchets! Ever wonder how a car works? What makes a clock tick? Creativity and ingenuity are what this camp is all about. This camp is perfect for the engineering minded student who loves to build, create, and see how things work! At Camp Einstein: Science Camp, campers will get to know their world on an elemental level! In this fun hands-on summer camp, students will be transformed into a budding scientist and chemist. Explore the basics of chemical reactions with projects like slime making and crystallization. Build rockets to shoot into the sky. And learn about our earth by making your very own tornado and volcano! This camp is sure to ignite a passion for science and understanding of how our world goes round! Camp is Monday - Friday, June 20 - 24; choose from 9:00 AM - Noon for the engineering session, or 1:00 - 4:00 PM for the science session. Cost is $220 per camper.

The Rubicon Academy will also be offering a host of other camps with both fitness-oriented and S.T.E.M.-centric themes and activities. Choose from such camps as Mad About Hoops for children ages 6 and up, which is a hula hoop based dance and fitness class for both boys and girls. Mad About Hoops will be offered June 27 - July 1 from 9:00 AM - noon; cost is $220 per camper and includes all equipment for class.

Nutty Scientists of Houston will be offered July 11 - 15, helping students ages 5 - 11 answer the question, "Who I Want to Be When I Grow Up?" Choose from from 9:00 AM - noon or 1:00 - 4:00 PM; cost is $225 per camper per half-day, or $420 for full-day.

chess camp and pc based video game creation campUSA Chess is offering Chess Camp, Gamebuilder Video Game Creation, Modding/Networking/Hosting Minecraft, and Kodu Video Game Creation Camps at the Rubicon Academy the week of July 18 - 22. Campers ages 5 - 16 experience chess instruction and play in a fun filled environment designed to improve their skills whether they are interested in casual or competitive chess at Chess Camp. Chess camp will have the option of attending in the morning (9:00 AM - Noon), afternoon (1:00 - 4:00 PM) or all day (9:00 - 4:00). At Gamebuilder Video Game Creation, Modding/Networking/Hosting Minecraft, and Kodu Video Game Creation Camps, Active Learning Services' video game creation camps offer programs that use custom designed curriculum that provide for campers to use their creativity as they learn to program a video game using step-by-step instructions while learning about the history of game design, design concepts, game styles and more! There are no prerequisites. All video creation programs are half-day programs that can be combined with an additional Active Learning Services offering to make a full day camp. Choose from attending in the morning (9:00 AM - Noon), afternoon (1:00 - 4:00 PM) or all day (9:00 - 4:00). Robotics Camps - The Robotics camps are specially developed by the Rubicon Academy's robotics teachers to immerse children with hands-on S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math). All classes are designed to be "small-in-size" to give a high quality experience for each child. Click here for class descriptions and more information about the robotics camps. Choose from four different sessions: June 20 - 24, June 27 - July 1, July 18 - 22, or August 1 - 6. Different classes for different age groups (from ages 6 - 14) are held at different times. Costs range from $215 - $265, per child, per session.

cooking baking chocolate camp in the woodlandsQuite possibly the tastiest summer camp option around, Chocolate Camp is sure to be the one day camp no one wants to miss! At Schakolad's Chocolate Camp, children ages 7 and up will make of a chocolate bar, from cacao bean to bar, make three-dimensional chocolate shapes, and make their own chocolate creations as they prepare to become mini-chocolatiers. Children will have the opportunity to use the skills they have learned, combined with their own personal creativity to make wonderful chocolate masterpieces that they can take home (if they make it that far)! And, just when you think the day is all cleaned up, they'll get a special dessert... chocolate face painting!

Chocolate Camp is held in three-day sessions, from 10:00 AM - 12:30 PM, or 2:00 - 4:30 PM, June 7 - 9, 14 - 18, 21 - 23, or 28 - 30; July 12 - 14, 19 - 21, or 26 - 28; or August 2 - 4, 9 - 11, 16 - 18, or 23 - 25. Woodlands School of Rock summer camp programsRock your child's summer like a hurricane! This summer, your child (ages 4-17) will be a part of a real rock band! These performance based summer camps incorporate songs, performing, musical games/activities, and team building exercises as a way to teach music theory, and how to rock out as a real band! School of Rock will group students by age and skill set into a band of their own! With the guidance of instructors, they'll get the kids stage ready Monday-Thursday; then on Friday, do a performance for friends and family! Choose from eight different sessions; the week of June 6-10, June 13-17, June 27 - July 1, July 11 - 15, July 18 - 22, August 1 - 5, August 8 - 12, or August 15 - 19. Camp cost is $549 per child, per session. Sign up at least a month ahead of time and receive a 20% discount!

Woodlands Children's Museum summer camp programsThe Woodlands Children's Museum offers various summer workshops where the curriculum is age-appropriate, developmentally sound, and fosters creative thinking. Workshops offered for the younger children include art, cultural discovery, Lego building and science concepts. Older children can select from pre-engineering concepts through Robotiks, building robots, and realistic motorized models from Lego within a team-building collaboration.

There are 11 weeks of summer programs beginning with the week of June 6, with your choice of morning or afternoon sessions. Programs are for children ages 4 - 10, and fees range between $49 - $134 per week, per child (slightly higher for non-members). Woodlands tree house summer camp programsThe Woodlands TreeHouse Preschool is offering four different summer camp programs this summer for preschoolers ages 3 - 6. First up is Let's Go Camping between May 31 - June 10. Then between June 13 - 24, it's Summer Fun to remember for years to come! Next is Little Chefs between June 27 - July 8 (no camp July 4). Finally, between July 12 - 22 is Life On A Farm.

Camp Praise is a Christian music day camp for students ages 13 to 19. At the camp, four main areas of technical development will be focused on: The voice, where campers will learn to mix vocal registers to eliminate the "break" or "flip" increasing range and power with less effort; Guitar instruction will help students learn to play both individually and with a group; In the Keys, students will be challenged to expand their technique, counting, note reading, and basic theory; and in Song Writing, students will learn how to put their passions, heart, and experiences into a song. The camp will also focus on four main areas of spiritual development.

Camp will be held Monday - Friday, July 25 - 29, from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Thursday, and 9:00 - Noon on Friday at The Woodland United Methodist Church. The students of Camp Praise will perform contemporary Christian and worship music at Market Street in The Woodlands, Friday July 29 at 1:00 PM. The youths will be leading a public worship. Anyone and everyone is invited! Cost is $450 per camper, and lunch is provided each day. Enroll before June 1 and receive a $50 discount! Woodlands children's learning adventure summer camp programsChildren's Learning Adventure of The Woodlands is offering all-inclusive summer camp options to children ages 5 - 13 this summer. Camps are open to all children, whether or not they are currently Children's Learning Adventure students. Camps will include two weekly field trips, fun activities such as bowling, culinary classes, music, art, drama, sports, and creative movement. This year campers - grouped by their age and grade - will travel through time to explore life in the past, present, and future! Every week focuses on a different era for the time travelers to explore, both on and off campus with weekly field trips.

young artists art summer camp Whether you live in the area or are just visiting for a few days, you can enroll your kids in an entirely different type of summer camp at Hands On Art Camp! The Young Artists Art Studio will divide students into two age groups; ages 4 - 7 and ages 8 - 12, where each will have age-appropriate art projects. Half-day camps are available 9:00 AM - Noon, or 1:00-4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, each of the following weeks: June 6 - 10, All About Abstract Painting; June 13 - 17, The World of Pop Art; June 20 - 24, The World of Pencils & Charcoals; June 27 - July 1, Sculptures; July 6 - 8, American Folk Art (afternoon session only); July 11 - 15, Clay With A Spin (ages 8 and up only) - or - Watercolors & Ink (ages 4 - 7 only); July 18 - 22, Magic Land; July 25 - 29, Mixed Media Painting; August 1 - 5, Impressionist Era; or August 8 - 12, Texture Painting.
