the woodlands guide to 2017 summer camps

teen triathlon training summer campsSelecTri offers kids ages 5-12 their first experience with the sport of triathlon at Get Ready To Race! camp. This three-day camp will be held July 5 - 8 from 8:00 - 9:30 AM each day. Training will include basic swim, bike and run techniques, transition drills and nutrition discussions. The camp will prepare athletes for The Woodlands Kiwanis Kids Triathlon on July 23, 2016. Budding athletes will learn from instruction, drills, games and workouts in all three sports, and transition from sport to sport.

All camps will be held at Windvale Park and Pool (7505 7600 East Windvale Circle 77382). Campers should bring a swimsuit, goggles, towel, bike (no training wheels permitted), helmet and running shoes. Get Ready To Race! camp costs are $130 per child, which includes a swim cap and water bottle. Registration can be completed online. summercamps for kids sports in the woodlandsChildren ages 5 - 12 will have a blast at VillaSport Mischievous Me Summer Camp. Each week will be full of fun, exploration, and mischief. Kids will report to headquarters in Week 1 and get ready for all the adventures and missions that will take them and their fellow campers across different lands and even into space! Their antics will include field trips, crazy crafts, wacky sports and games, and splashing away in VillaSport's amazing pools. They'll reconnect with old pals and make new friends along the way. Get ready for an action-packed summer! Here's what's in store: Week 1 (May 31-June 3) Report to Headquarters; Week 2 (June 6-10) Planetary Pandemonium; Week 3 (June 13-17) Rescue in the Rainforest; Week 4 (June 20-24) Wild West Outlaws; Week 5 (June 27-July 1) A Sticky Situation; Week 6 (July 5-8) Independence Day Insanity; Week 7 (July 11-15) Tropical Treasure Trickery; Week 8 (July 18-22) Chaos at the Castle; Week 9 (July 25-29) High-Tech Hacking; Week 10 (August 1-5) High Seas Hijinks; Week 11 (August 8-12) Race through the Ruins; Week 12 (August 15-19) Circus Silliness; and Week 13 (August 22-26) Mission Accomplished!

Other camps available at VillaSport include: Performance Swim Camp for children ages 7 - 17 in weeks 7 and 11 from 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM, Junior Lifeguard Camp for ages 10 - 14 in weeks 7 and 9 from 1:00 - 4:00 PM, and Group Swim Lessons for all Villakids Campers all ages in weeks 2-5 and 7-11 from 8:15-8:40 AM, Monday - Thursday only. Refer to the Mischievous Me Summer Camp information above for corresponding dates and week numbers; information about hours, athletic requirements, costs and more for all of these camps and clinics can be found in the VillaSport Summer Camp Brochure.

All of the Mischievous Me camps are held 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM each day, and before care, after care and lunch available by the week (sold separately). Mischievous Me weekly fees are $340 for members, $406 for non-members (or $3,400 for members, $4,060 for non-members for the Summer Mischievous Me Pass, which includes all 13 weeks).Swim Camp is $210/$252 and Jr. Lifeguard is $170/$204. girls basketball camp in the woodlandsThe Woodlands Area Girls Basketball Camp will be held at The Woodlands High School from June 6 - June 9. This camp is available for girls entering 5th through 9th grade. She shoots - she scores! If B-ball is your daughter's passion, than this four-day skills camp is just the thing. All girls will benefit from High School Coaches and former basketball players, who will be there to teach position-specific work, team play, and overall fun on the court!!

Registration and payment are due by June 1; walk-in registration at camp start will have an additional $25 per child, and only available space permitting. co-ed soccer camp in the woodlandsThe Woodlands Area Soccer Camp will be held at The Woodlands High School Practice Fields from June 13 - 16. This camp is available for boys and girls entering Kindergarten through 2nd, and 7th through 9th grade girls. Divided into two age groups; incoming Kindergartener - 2nd grade boys and girls, who will have camp from 9:00-10:30 AM, and incoming 7th - 9th grade girls from 9:00-11:00 AM. All students will learn from High School Coaches.

the woodlands stykers collegiate league baseball teamThe Woodlands Strykers offer a variety of fun summer camp options for boys and girls. Strykers camps are two days each, held from 9:00 AM - noon with lunch provided. The camps are taught by Strykers head coach and players, who are D1 athletes. The softball camp is taught by the Strykers head coach and they will have collegiate softball players teaching as well. Kids get a personalized Dry-fit tee, a digital camp photo, and up to four free tickets to a Strykers baseball game on their second day of camp.

Choose from four camps: Boys ages 6 - 9 June 21 & 22, boys ages 10 - 13 June 28 & 29, girls ages 6 - 14 softball July 14 & 15, or boys and girls ages 6 - 9 t-ball July 28 & 29. Camps are $95 per two-day session, and are held at The Woodlands Christian Academy, 5800 Academy Way, The Woodlands 77384. Woodlands christian academy warrior summer campAlways a very popular summer camp option, Warrior Camp at The Woodlands Christian Academy is filled with an exciting variety of activities. Your child will participate in recreational and cooperative games, arts and crafts, sports activities, academic components, praise time, swimming, free time, and field trips. Choose from Warrior Weights Strength and Conditioning Camp; Warrior Youth Football Camp; Lady Warrior Softball Camp; Warrior Baseball Camp; Warrior Basketball Skills Camp; Lady Warrior Youth Basketball Camp; Lady Warrior Volleyball Camp; the Summer Music Conservatory; and Cheer Camp.

ymca camps for tweens and teens in the woodlands

The YMCA builds strong kids, strong families and strong communities. 2010 was the inaugural year for the newest Montgomery County YMCA, the Creekside YMCA. Did you know that YMCA summer camps have been held for more than 130 years?! NEW adventures and opportunities are found at Camp Creekside! The 21-acre day camp site includes a tree house and tee-pee village, play field, outdoor chapel and theater, an Alpine Adventure Tower, and a beautiful lodge. From swimming and group games to craft projects, archery, outdoor education, hiking, science lessons and special events, children will have the chance to build a respect for the outdoors and make new friends along the way. The YMCA Day Camps for children ages 5 - 12 will be held weekly beginning June 6.

ymca overnight camp in trinity texas

YMCAs in Texas have some sleep-away camps that you might consider including YMCA Camp Cullen in Trinity, which was re-opened in the summer of 2013 as improvements and repairs are complete at the 40+ year-old campground. YMCA Camp Flaming Arrow is in San Antonio, and YMCA Camp Grady Spruce in the Dallas area.
