The following Sports and Athletics summer camps and activities are sponsored by The Woodlands Township Parks & Recreation Department. For information about Parks & Recreation's Educational and Skill-building day camps, return to the previous page. Fees for Summer Camps sponsored by The Woodlands Township Parks & Recreation Department are payable online at their registration page, except where instructed differently. For more information, call Parks and Recreation at 281-210-3950. Unless noted otherwise, all Township summer camps are held at the Recreation Center, which is adjacent to Bear Branch Park.

The following summer camps and activities are sponsored by The Woodlands Township Parks & Recreation Department. Fees are payable online at their registration page. All non-resident campers incur an additional $10 fee per child. For more information, call Parks and Recreation at 281 210-3950. Unless noted otherwise, all Township summer camps are held at the Recreation Center, which is adjacent to Bear Branch Park.

texas fury baseball academy The Fury Baseball Academy clinic offers a variety of instruction to improve skills while being taught the proper mechanics and fundamentals of the game. Instructors are selected from the coaching staff of the Fury Baseball Academy. Each class is a four-day session that does not meet on Tuesdays. Classes are geared to campers ages 6 - 15. Choose a Monday/Wednesday/Thursday/Friday session: June 6-10, or July 11-15, held from 10:00 AM - Noon, at the Alden Bridge Sports Fields. FEE: $140 Resident, $150 Non-resident, per camper, per week, which includes a camp T-shirt.

kids rush soccer camps in the woodlandsRush Soccer Camp - Players ages 3 - 12 work on technical fundamentals and tactical understanding of soccer. Covers individual ball skills, small sided competitions and a world cup tournament! Rush Soccer Camp will be held June 13 - 17, and July 25 - 29 at the Bear Branch Sports Fields. Divided into two age groups, ages 3-5 meet from 6:30-7:30 PM; FEE: $95 per child; ages 6-12 meet from 6:30-8:30 PM; FEE: $180 per child. Non-residents add $10 per child, per week.

kids fencing instruction in the woodlandsAt Beginners Fencing Camp, students (ages 7 & up) will raise their fitness - both mentally and physically - while learning this exciting sport. The instructors are from the Bayou City Fencing Academy and include Delfina Perka, a member of the 1980 Polish Olympic Team, and Albert Peters, former head coach of fencing at Cornell University. Sessions include footwork, technical instruction and bouting. All equipment provided. Fencing Camp for Beginners will be held June 20 - 24, from 10:00 AM - noon each day at the Rec Center. FEES: $150 per student for residents, $160 for non-residents.

kids golf camps in the woodlandsGolf Mini Camp - This camp, designed for kids ages 5 - 10 includes instruction on rules and etiquette, putting, driving, games and challenges, fitness awareness and character development. A mini-tournament is held on the last day of camp. This is a fun and affordable way to learn the game of golf! All equipment provided. Choose from one of five, three-day sessions: June 14 - 16, June 28 - 30, July 12 - 14, July 19 - 21 or August 2 - 4. All camps are held from 9:30 AM - Noon at the gazebo at Buckalew Elementary School in the Village of Alden Bridge. For more information, visit PlayTGA.com or call 281 475-3256. FEES: $180 per child, per week for residents, $190 per child, per week for non-residents, which includes a $40 supply fee.

i9 sports camps - basketball, flag football, soccer

At the i9 Sports Camps, participants choose between four programs: Basketball, Flag Football, T-Ball/Baseball or Soccer. Instruction is ideal for beginner and intermediate levels, ages 4-13. FEES: $135 Resident, $145 Non-resident, per week, per camper.

 

Basketball will be held are held Monday - Friday, 9:30 - 12:30 AM at the Recreation Center Basketball Courts.

•  Basketball Camp - The camp offers a comprehensive overview of basketball, including passing, shooting, dribbling, and offensive and defensive sets. Choose from June 13 - 17, June 27 - July 1, July 11 - 15, uly 25 - 29 or August 8 - 12.


Flag Football, T-Ball/Baseball and Soccer are held Monday - Friday, 8:30 - 11:30 AM at Cattail Park.

•  T-Ball/Baseball - Camp covers all aspects of baseball, including drills in fielding, throwing, and catching. Campers will have hitting practice with a batting tee or coach pitch, depending on age/ability. Choose from June 6 - 10, June 20 - 24, July 18 - 22, August 1 - 5 or August 15 - 19.


•  Flag Football Camp - Camp includes complete overview of flag football and covers passing, catching, de-flagging and offensive and defensive positioning. Choose from June 6 - 10, June 20 - 24, July 18 - 22, August 1 - 5 or August 15 - 19.


•  Soccer Camp - Participants receive a complete overview of soccer; engage in fast-paced drills, skill-building exercises, offensive and defensive positioning and scrimmages. Choose from June 6 - 10, June 20 - 24, July 18 - 22, August 1 - 5 or August 15 - 19.
