Shadowbend Park, featuring the Shadowbend Pool is the 12th park to be built in The Woodlands. As is the case in the early days of any development project as enormous as The Woodlands, Texas, the wheels of progres turn slowly and the park, though acquired in 1983, was not dedicated for use until 1991. At over twelve and a half acres, this very large park is often utilized for little league soccer and lacrosse games. Just over the long, woodplank bridge from the main park area are five lighted tennis courts. Shadowbend Park is located near the southwest corner of Lake Woodlands Drive and Shadowbend Drive, just west of St. Paul Church.
