The third park installed in The Woodlands, Tamarac Park has been updated a number of times over the years, most recently with a revamping of its wheel friendly area. Though the tri-fountains in one of the two ponds at Tamarac Park are visible from Woodlands Parkway, the park entrance is off of North Millbend Drive. In anticipation of the transition of The Woodlands to The Woodlands Township, and as its last official act, The Woodlands Community Association approved the use of its leftover funds to build a dog friendly area at Tamarac Park. Tucked into the historic location of Grogan's sawmill, the large trees offer plenty of shade for dogs to play off-leash.
