Windvale Park, located just inside of the Windvale neighborhood, is somewhat unique in the features it offers residents and visitors. While a relatively smaller "Village Park" (the name distinction given to parks with a pool) Windvale Park has both a butterfly garden and a jogging track encircling a pond. There is a variety of playground equipment for younger and older children, as well as ample shady open spaces for picnics and relaxing with a good book. Windvale Park is the 26th park constructed in The Woodlands, and considering that it was only acquired in 2001, provides testament to how rapidly the Township of The Woodlands has expanded with it's more than 130 parks now available to the public.
