The Woodlands Texas Amphitheater

The Woodlands Pavilion offers more than the typical concert in The Woodlands. This well known outdoor music venue in The Woodlands has presented popular touring artists such as Frank Sinatra, Bette Midler, Van Halen, Tina Turner, Rush, The Moody Blues, Elton John, Rod Stewart, Britney Spears, Clint Black and many return year after year. The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion (CWMP) is a Non-Profit Organization offering a venue for a variety of productions inlcuding the Houston Symphony, Easter celebrations, and even graduation ceremonies for local highschools. CWMP operates a beautiful amphitheater nestled amongst the trees in the Town Center area and is bordered by the Market Street Shopping Complex and The Woodlands Waterway.

The Woodlands Amphitheater is a non-profit outdoor theater providing accommodations for more than 16,000 guests. The soaring white fabric roof covered facility has presented a multitude of artists and musical organizations in themore than 20 years of operations. Attractions to appear at the Pavilion include the Houston Symphony, the Houston Ballet and the Houston Grand Opera, area Highschool Graduation Ceremonies, the annual Childrens's Festival and more.

Hurricane Ike - struck The Woodlands Pavilion causing a vast amount of damage causing the concert venue to be closed prior to completing the 2008 season. The Woodlands Pavilion has since fully recovered, completing the multi-million dollar repairs and upgrade to the reserved seating and guest service areas. Free Events at The Pavilion

Did you know that you can attend most all of the performing arts events for FREE? The Pavilion hosts the Houston Symphony several times each year and you can have a picnic in your seat or on the hill during the concert. Mezzanine and lawn seating is FREE. Lawn chairs also are available at no charge for these and other applicable performing arts events. And although beverages cannot be brought into The Pavilion, you are welcome to bring empty water bottles and fill them at the drinking fountains. And as always, FREE parking is available at one of the five designated nearby parking lots to the south and west of The Pavilion. How's that for a cheap date?!
