The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival, an annual fine art show featuring more than 200 national and regional artists using a wide variety of mediums. The 2 day event takes place in April each year alongside the Waterway stretching from The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center alongside The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, and beyond. The 2010 Art Festival included some free festivities at Waterway Square including sidewalk art (chalk) for the kids and other amatuer artists. The Waterway is included in the Town Center area which has ample parking, the free trolley service in the area and the waterway cruisers along the entire length of the festival.

Red Hot and Blue
The Red, Hot & Blue Festival and Fireworks Extravaganza is held every year in The Woodlands. This event in The Woodlands Town Center is attended by tens of thousands of people to celebrate America's Independence. The hotspot for the celebration is in Waterway Square on the banks of The Woodlands Waterway®. Entertainment during the celebration includes live music, face painting, strolling performers, food and drink vendros, and much more. Additionally, there are the ever-popular watermelon and hot dog eating contests, a wide variety of inflatable attractions like moonwalks, bounce houses, inflatable obstacle courses, and inflatable slides in Town Green Park. This spectacular event is free and open to the public. Concessions and games are offered at minimal cost. |

The Woodlands Children's Festival
The annual Children's Festival is a magical world where kids can discover that learning is not only fun, but also exhilarating, awe-inspiring and eye-opening. The Children's Festival is held in November each year and is always an incredible experience for both young and old. The festival encourages children to do the things they love most, flex their imaginations, and express themselves while they learn, grow, and play together. The festival is held at The Woodlands Pavilion and is designed to educate and entertain pre-school, elementary and intermediate school age children. Showcasing renowned children's entertainers in a fascinating lineup of music, pantomime, original theater, science experiments, magical stories, puppetry, humor and award-winning songs, the festival is always a winner.
