The Bear Branch Sportsfields, located on Research Forest Drive, directly across the street from Bear Branch Park, is home to many Woodlands area youth soccer, rugby and fast-pitch softball teams' practice fields. The Bear Branch Sportsfields also boast on of only two of the area's Frisbee Golf (or Frolf) courses, as well as a community garden. The Woodlands Community Garden at the Bear Branch Sportsfields, is the larger of two such community gardens with 70 plots of varying sizes. The second community garden is located at the Alden Bridge Sports Park. Residents pay annually to cultivate the plots, with many of the fruits and vegetables grown each season donated to area food banks.
