Muddy Trails 5K / 10K / Little Muddy Kids Fun Run / 5K-9 Fun Run

ROB FLEMING PARK

Muddy Trails 5K / 10K / Little Muddy Kids Fun Run / 5K-9 Fun Run

Everyone loves the annual Muddy Trails 5K / 10K / Little Muddy Kids Fun Run / 5K-9 Fun Run! Run in early April each year, the course winds through the beautiful George Mitchell Preserve Trails, located on 1,800 wooded acres, adjacent to Rob Fleming Park located in the Village of Creekside Park. The chip-timed 5k and 10k race is recommended for participants ages 10 years and older of all fitness levels. There will also be a kids race for the nine and under set. The post-race party will be held at Rob Fleming Park with a live Zydeco band and mudbugs for everyone!

The Muddy Trails Bash benefits programs and service offered through The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation Department. The Woodlands Township Recreation Center was constructed in 1993 to serve The Woodlands through programs, promotion of health and well-being of residents and visitors, and to provide a facility that did not limit involvement due to cost. Since its opening, The Woodlands Township Recreation Center has served the community through recreation program scholarships and promotion of other not-for-profit groups.

CHIP TIMING DEVICE
A chip must be worn by all runners. Tags are provided by Run Far Racing Services; ChronoTrack "D" timing tag allows race organizers to print an integrated bib and tag for each participant, encoding the runner’s bib number into the tag’s RFID chip at the time of printing. The peel-off, disposable portion of the bib becomes a tag that runners attach to their shoes. ChronoTrack’s tag solution is lighter, less expensive than revious timing methods, and most important to race organizers and participants - disposable! Runners no longer need to stand in long lines to "tag check" their timing devices as with previous solutions. And after the race, tired participants can avoid yet another line to return expensive tags.

The race packet will contain a cotton Muddy Trails 5k shirt, entrance into the Muddy Bowl crawfish boil, and more to come. The shirt sizes will be on a first come-first served basis.
