Woodlands Recycling

The Woodlands Township, Environmental Services Department coordinates waste services and recycling efforts throughout The Woodlands. The Environmental Services Department also operates The Woodlands Recycling Facility on Research Forest Drive, just west of Bear Branch Park. The facility is open Wednesday, 4:00 to 7:00 PM, and Saturday, 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM, holidays excluded. The items which may be taken to this facility for recycling is the same as those for curbside recycling:
  • Aluminum Cans
  • Steel Cans
  • Plastic Containers w/Numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 7
  • Glass food and beverage containers that are clear, brown or green
  • Aseptic Containers: juice boxes, milk & soup cartons
  • Paper: newsprint, office paper, magazines
  • Cardboard, Paperboard, Brown Paper Bags
  • Phone Books
  • Yard trimmings

Woodlands Area Recycling

In addition to all of the foregoing items, Montgomery County Precinct 3 Recycling & ReUse Facility operates the Precinct 3 Citizen's Collection Facility at 1122 Pruitt Road in Spring for many other types of recycleable waste. The facility is open Monday through Saturday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Montgomery County holidays excluded. The following items may be taken to this facility for recycling:
  • All Items Listed Above
  • Styrofoam – seperated from other materials
  • TV and CPU monitors
  • Fax, scanner and printers
  • Other Electronics
  • Residential Home Improvement, wood and miscellaneous landfill items
  • Appliances and miscellaneous metal
  • Antifreeze
  • Batteries
  • Motor Oil
  • Tires
  • Oil Filters
  • Gasoline

Some items for recycling at Precinct 3 Citizen's Collection Facility may incur a nominal fee; check the Precinct 3 fee schedule for pricing.

 

On Wednesdays and Saturdays, certain household hazerdous waste may also be recycled for a nominal fee. A complete list of Household Chemical Waste items accepted and not accepted can be found here.

 

There may be other items which are eligible for recycling at this facility as well, and some on this list that are not available from time to time. Contact the Precinct 3 Recycling & ReUse Facility at 281 367 SAVE (7283) to ensure the items you want to recycle are being accepted.
