The Woodlands Alert Systems

Along with area law enforcement, public safety offices, and online and televised news media outlets, The Woodlands Township offers two ways to stay informed in the case of an emergency which effects The Woodlands area.


The Woodlands Township emergency notification system is designed for major events that may threaten citizens, reaching thousands of residents via text messages and email. To sign up for this service, visit The Woodlands Township website. In the event of a community-wide emergency, the Emergency Alert icon on the home page of Township's official website will turn red and will blink "Active," in addition to a web-page banner alert featured there.

Another way to stay up-to-date with The Woodlands Township governmental and departmental news and information, is to sign up for The Talk of the Township. The Talk of the Township is a weekly eNewsletter which includes several items of interested regarding The Woodlands Township such as events, Board meeting notices and highlights, and timely tips.

Remember, you won't get the message if you don't sign up! By following a few easy steps, you'll soon receive the up-to-date information you choose, via the method you prefer.

The Woodlands Township - Neighborhood Watch

For more than 30 years, The Woodlands Township Neighborhood Watch has provided award-winning crime prevention programming to all villages and neighborhoods in The Woodlands. Getting organized is easy, and gives you and your neighbors the opportunity to contribute to a safe community through organization, education and even celebration.


By participating in the Watch program residents will learn about vital information that pertains to public safety in The Woodlands, including important phone numbers for emergencies, resources on crime prevention, and more. Residents are also invited to subscribe to the program's quarterly publication, The Neighborhood Watch Newsletter.
