Waterway Square Park

The Waterway Square Park is a one-acre public plaza with unique water features that utilize and accent the site's terraced topography and view from The Waterway. Visitors can observe the water as it cascades down the 10 foot high, 120 foot long water wall to a pool along the lower terrace. Other features of the plaza include a bench area under a grove of shade trees providing outdoor seating for rest and relaxation and childrens interactive water fountains with a fanciful mosaic artwork designed by the renowned artist Dixie Friend Gay. Additionally, Public Restrooms are available at 20 Waterway (under Crush Wine Bar and Grimaldi's Pizzeria) from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm, 7 days a week.

The Park is designed by Sasaki Associates of Watertown, MA, designers of the 2008 Olympic Green in Beijing, China. Water features designed by Aquatic Design and Engineering, Inc. of Oakland, Florida, designers of several major water features for Disney Resorts in Orlando as well as Orlando City Hall. Waterway Square Park is surrounded by Class A office and retail buildings with restaurants, upscale shops and nightlife venues which are designed by Elkus Manfredi of Boston, MA, Lucas Associates Architects of Baltimore, MD and Street-Works LLC of White Plains, NY. Plans for the near future include the addition of an outdoor amphitheater in the plaza plus two additional Class A office buildings - a nine-story building, 4 Waterway Square (under construction) and a six-story building, 3 Waterway Square. There are also plans for a luxury condo tower and a boutique hotel ajacent to the Square. The 1,900-space Waterway Square Garage is nearing completion as we approach the end of 2009.
