The Woodlands Entertainment District
The Waterway District includes a wide variety of venues from culinary training to live music, a gourmet market to a wide variety of dining choices. Quickly growing into the entertainment district for south Montgomery County, The Waterway includes the Viking Cooking School, at the Hubbell & Hudson Market. The colored light fountains at Waterway Square Park are just off of Waterway Avenue; which connects Woodlands Parkway and Lake Robbins Drive. And Waterway Avenue creates a grand entrance into The Waterway District, crossing over the The Waterway and ending directly in front of Cinemark Tinseltown 17 Theaters.
The Woodlands Waterway Cruisers and the free Woodlands Trolleys provide excellent transportation in and around the Downtown Woodlands area, both on the water and off. Parking in the area is available at many of the nearby parking garages and a variety of street level parking options. Notable dining options include Crush Wine Bar, Grimaldi's Coal Fired Pizza, Baker Street Pub, La Lupita Mexican Cuisine & Bar, and Kita Japanese just to name a few. Additionally, there are several new ventures either planned or under construction - a new hotel, a luxury condo tower, and more restaurants as well.
The Waterway is an initiative of The Woodlands Development Company, The Woodlands Township and The Woodlands Town Center Owners Association, and extends from Town Green Park to The Woodlands Mall. Included along the way are The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center, the Waterway Koi Pond, the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion and the Riva Row Boathouse.
