Designed for the residents and visitors to the North Houston Master Planned Community, The Woodlands Waterway turned 6 years old in July 2010. Whether by land or by "sea", there are many ways to get around the Waterway District in The Woodlands Town Center. Along both sides of The Woodlands Corridor are businesses, restaurants, office buildings, hotels and urban residential. The east end of the corridor (north end of the horseshoe) is anchored by The Woodlands Mall Courtyard while the west end is anchored by the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion and Town Green Park with the Marriott Hotel and Convention center being about midway.
The Town Center Trolley provides a convenient way to get around Town Center (currently at no charge) allowing visitors to browse the mall, Market Street, Waterway Square and various points of interest. The trolley's follow an (occasionally altered) route at regularly scheduled intervals 7 days a week.
Along the waterway are businesses, restaurants, office buildings, the Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center as well as the Pavilion, park-like open green spaces and Waterway Square Park with its beautiful Fountains. Additionally, you will find a mix of urban residential and office buildings, The Waterway Koi Garden with its park-like meditation area, along with natural wooded areas.
