In addition to the six (6) Waterway Cruisers, The Woodlands Town Center area includes two Vintage Style Trolley Cars providing street transportation at no cost to pedestrians throughout the shopping and dining areas of Town Center and along the Woodlands Waterway. The two modes of Public Transportation provide the perfect way to explore the multitude of Woodlands Waterway Amenities. The Waterway Trolleys operate seven days a week, almost every day of the year, along a circuitous route that covers a large portion of Town Center, from mid-morning to early evening hours (see below). The southern portion of the route takes passengers along The Waterway, past the south entrance of the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, the patio seating of Tuscany at The Marriott Hotel & Convention Center, across Waterway Avenue before continuing beyond Waterway Square Park to the Lake Robbins shore of the Anadarko building. After passing under the Lake Robbins drive suspension bridge, the Trolleys approach the Woodlands Mall via the southern piazza. A major feature of Town Center is the Woodlands Mall Courtyard, where the Waterway Cruisers enter a circular turnabout beneath suspended lighting in the piazza, while the opposite end of the waterway is anchored by Town Green Park. This area features several restaurants as well as direct access to The Woodlands Mall. This is one of the various stops including the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, and the Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention center, visited by both the Waterway Taxis and the Waterway Trolley system offering a unique way to explore Town Center in a relaxing environment. Heading west, the Trolleys exit the mall area alongside Cinemark Tinsletown 17 Theaters to reach Lake Robbins Drive and head over to Market Street. There passengers can enjoy seeing children play in the interactive fountains at Central Park, hop off and get a latte at Starbucks or an ice cream cone at Cold Stone Creamery in The Mews. And operating year-round, the Waterway Trolleys offer a unique way to take in the scenery in a relaxing experience. Boarding is at the designated stops every 45 to 60 minutes depending on traffic, riders, etc. The Town Center Trolleys are free to ride. For more information call 281-367-1151. |
