The Village of Alden Bridge

Spanning a large area with a unique character, The Village of Alden Bridge features abundant forests and parks, family homes, two Village shopping centers and many outstanding schools, both public and private. Alden Bridge is one of the largest villages of The Woodlands, with more than 21,000 residents and 7,000 homes.

The Village of Alden Bridge opened in 1994. Roger Galatas was the President of The Woodlands Operating Company and the Village was named after his hometown of Alden Bridge, Louisiana. The Village of Alden Bridge is one of the largest in The Woodlands and is bordered by FM 2978 and FM 1488. The North side of the Village borders FM 1488 & the Jones State Forest, a 1,733-acre birdwatcher's haven and home to more than 150 species of birds - including the endangered Red Cockaded Woodpecker. This state forest is great place for a nature hike or take your horse out for a day on the trails and is immediately accessible via the recently completed extension of Kuykendahl Road.

Parks in Alden Bridge:

There are three Village parks in Alden Bridge that feature swimming pools; Alden Bridge Park, Lakeside Park and Windvale Park. In addition to it's pool, Windvale park features a butterfly garden as well as a jogging track surrounding the fishing pond that is a "keep your catch" pond. Scenic Lakeside Park overlooks Bear Branch Reservoir and has a wheel-friendly area. Alden Bridge Park is alongside of the picturesque Alden Bridge. There are also several smaller parks and tot lots close to homes and neighborhoods. Schools in Alden Bridge:

There are three Conroe Independent School District (CISD) schools located in the boundaries of Alden Bridge. These include Barbara Bush Elementary and Buckalew Elementary (grade K-4) and Mitchell Intermediate for grades 5 & 6. Several large day care and pre-school centers are conveniently located near residential neighborhoods. Alden Bridge is also home of The Woodlands Christian Academy & St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School two of several prestigious private schools in The Woodlands.
Shopping in Alden Bridge:

Alden Bridge features two Village shopping centers, Alden Bridge Village Center, & Windvale Village Center. The Alden Bridge Village Center, located at 8000 Research Forest Drive is anchored by a Kroger Signature store and Walgreens drug store. The Windvale Village Center is located at 9420 College Park Drive and is anchored by a Randall's grocery store. Both centers include restaurants like Rico's Mexican Café ( Alden Bridge), & Shogun Japanese Grill & Sushi Bar (Windvale). Local merchants, banks, service stations, professional offices, fast food restaurants and neighborhood services are also featured at both centers. Kuykendahl Road provides Alden Bridge residents with quick access to the HEB located at FM1488 and Kuykendahl Road.
Restaurants in Alden Bridge:

Alden Bridge features several restaurants including fast food and full service dining all located within a short distance of each other within the Alden Bridge Shopping Center Complex. Dining choices include Rico's Mexican, Papa John's, Jack in the Box, Chick fil a and The G's just to name a few.
