Village of College Park
The Village of College Parkincludes Harper's Landing neighborhood east of Interstate 45 which opened in 1995. This village is named after two prominent educational facilities - Lone Star College, a junior college campus formerly operating under the name Montgomery County Community College, and the University Center, which offer bachelor and master's degree plans in cooperation with six major Texas Universities. The opening of College Park added to the diversity of the community and validated The Woodlands as a place of higher learning. College Park incorporates the neighborhoods of Harper's Landing and Windsor Hills, and boasts a population of more than 3,300 residents living in 1,200 homes.

The Village of College Park encompasses just over 3 square miles and like the Village of Grogan's Mill, has a lot of freeway frontage. Lone Star Montgomery College, the University Center and The Woodlands College Park High School, in the Village of College Park gives The Woodlands the added distinction of being a "College Town". College Park is also home to St. Luke's -The Woodlands Hospital. Also located in College Park are Windsor Hills and Windsor Lakes active adult communities for those over the age of 55. Harper's Landing, a large family neighborhood, is part of College Park, and features a village park with swimming pool, water fun park, playgrounds and playfields. Parts of Grogan's Forest (off Research) are in The Woodlands Township and the nearby City of Shenandoah. |
