Sterling Ridge Village:The Village of Sterling Ridge (2000) hosts The Woodlands High School Ninth Grade Campus and includes the gated community of Carlton Woods, which initially existed as a village in its own right. The Village of Sterling Ridge was opened during the Woodland's 25th Anniversary year (1999), and was named in the honor of the occasion. Situated in the heart of The Woodlands, Sterling Ridge is home to the 18-hole Gary Player Signature Championship golf course, designed by the legend himself. The village boasts nearly 9,000 residents in some 3,300 homes. The parks in Sterling Ridge are Cranebrooke Park, Terramont Park, Carlton Woods Park and Artist Grove Park and feature many outstanding recreational amenities. Cranebrook has a fun water park, Terramont has a Frisbee golf course, skateboarding and a small-dog park. The Sterling Ridge Park'n'Ride is located on McBeth Way near the YMCA and library. The South Montgomery County YMCA in Sterling Ridge is located on Ashlane Way.

The Village of Sterling Ridge is one of the newer residential area of The Woodlands, encompassing new homes in a wide range of styles and price ranges and a host of recreation and neighborhood conveniences for its residents.
