On any given day there are a multitude of activities to choose from in The Woodlands. Whether you want to take the kids to the park, pick up a game of disc golf, maybe even take up a new hobby, like painting or cooking. You can participate in one of the many charity events held here throughout the year or spend the day at a festival or show, you'll never run out of things to do in The Woodlands.
Activities for Kids of all Ages
The Woodlands is home to an ever-growing population of young people, and they're all looking for the same thing; "something" to do! Fortunately, The Woodlands has a multitude of activities for kids of all ages, all year round. From multi-platinum artists' concerts at the Pavilion to free concerts at Northshore Park. Skating at one of nine wheel-friendly parks, or swimming at one of The Woodlands thirteen area pools. Sports and local band nights for tweens at the Gorilla Hole, and things to do with your preschooler seven days a week. There's never a reason for your kids to say there's nothing to do here in The Woodlands!

The Woodlands Mall contains over 150 different merchants, services, restraurants and stores, from the national chains at anchors to the local independant shops. The Market Street Shopping Center features several restaurants and a wide variety of shopping experiences. The open air mall area also features a boutique hotel (AVIA) and Central Park, with a small fountain area for the kids to play.

The Woodlands Waterway is impressive and features lighted walkways for night-time walks, the water taxi service and beautiful fountains both at Waterway Square Park and in the adjoining lakes. A favorite attraction is the Waterway Square Park light show, a choreographed fountain with sound and lights that plays nightly on a 15 minute rotation. Additionally, there are several waterway restaurants as well as cooking classes offered by Viking Cooking School, in the Hubbell & Hudson Grocery & Market located at Waterway Avenue and Lake Robbins Drive.
The Woodlands offers a huge variety of restaurants with over 100 locations to choose from even the most discriminating diner can find something to satisfy. Every member of the family is covered by restaurants in The Woodlands, from fast food to fine dining, you can find something or somewhere to eat.
The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion aims to provide a diversity in the performing and visual arts and live music entertainment choices. The outdoor theater offers covered seating as well as a large grass covered hill for 'lawn seating'. The Pavilion was afforded a major upgrade between the 2008 / 2009 concert season thanks to Hurricane Ike. The upgrades to the outdoor amphitheater included replacing the entire soaring roof structure, improving guest amenities and installing additional reserved and covered seating.

The Woodlands Town Center area offers two Cinemark Theater locations; one is located adjacent to The Woodlands Mall and the other in Market Street. Both theaters combined feature more than 21 screens - you are sure to find a movie to enjoy.
Most all of The Woodlands attractions are interconnected by 4' wide concrete pathways or sidewalks that run throughout the villages of The Woodlands Township.
