3star Ice - Hockey Rink

woodlands hockey rink

Woodlands Events welcomes 3star Ice to the area! The new business currently features an acrylic hockey rink and features hockey leagues for adults and youths. Additionally, they plan to have regular skate sessions including open and scheduled events sponsored by local organizations such as KSBJ radio.

3star Inline, occupying what was formerly Mustang Sports, held their Grand Opening in August, 2009. The inline skating and hockey rink is located at 17951 I-45 South, Shenandoah, Texas 77385 (between Chuy's and Sam Moon Center).

Scott Tartaglia and Steve Szabo, who live in The Woodlands, and Steve Stalc, Hockey Program Director for 3star Inline, have made repairs and improvements to the functionality of the rink including, but not limited to replacing some plexiglas panels and acrylic floor tiles.

For nearly two years, Tartaglia and Szabo had been working towards building a state-of-the-art, multi-purpose, year-round ice and inline skating facility. They've traveled across North America examining existing hockey facilities and talking to rink owners. They have been in countless meetings with the city of Shenandoah and have developed a great relationship with the city leaders. The team even had “town hall” meetings with people in our community to discuss future plans for the current rink as well as the new facilities to come.

“We could not have been able to do this without the tremendous support and back-breaking hard work of the hockey community moms, dads and players. 3star Inline is grateful of the help and support of the hockey community, thank you!” Scott Tartaglia and Steve Szabo, Managing Partners, 3star Inline.

The Houston Aeros

The Aeros are expected to begin using the facility as a practice arena - dates and times have not yet been finalized.

Womens Roller Derby

The Houston Womens Roller Derby holds regular events at the facility - dates and times TBA.
