  • 10 For Texas Fun Run

     

    The first annual 10 FOR TEXAS 10-mile race through The Woodlands took place in October, 2006 at Central Park in Market Street. The event is produced by The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation Department and Luke's Locker. After the race, participants enjoy a Texas-sized party at Market Street with a live band and fun for the whole family. This even includes the Memorial Hermann 10 for Texas (10 Mile),3.1 Armadillo Run (5K), & One 4 Texas (1 Mile Kids' Fun Run)

     
  • Pickle Ball

     

    What do you know about Pickleball? It has been referred to as a "Sweet Sport with a Sour Name" and is one of America’s fastest growing sports. Initially played with ping pong paddles and preforated plastic ball, Pickleball came to life in a backyard tennis court in 1965. The game of Pickleball was invented by then Congressman Joel Pritchard, businessman Bill Bell, and Barney McCallum in Bainbridge, Washington.

     
  • Texas Ironman

     

    The sixth annual Memorial Hermann Ironman Texas was held April 22, 2017 in The Woodlands. TWE! is excited that World Triathlon Corporation has selected The Woodlands for its Ironman Texas event as this world-class event is expected to bring major international exposure to The Woodlands as well as extended recognition for the surrounding community. As of 2015, The Woodlands Township is contracted to host Ironman Texas through 2020. The Woodlands is also host to several other annual sporting including Run Thru The Woods, 10 For Texas, The Muddy Trails 5K, The Woodlands Marathon, the CB&I Triathlon, as well as a wide assortment of festivals, concerts, and more. The Ironman competition is estimated to generate about $20 million in economic investment to The Woodlands area.

The Villages

Panther Creek

 

Unveiled in 1977, the Village of Panther Creek is home to more than 5,000 homes and 13,860 people. An actual creek – Panther Creek – runs through the village which borders the west shore of Lake Woodlands, and includes several waterfront neighborhoods, along with two waterfront parks.

College Park Village

 

includes Harper's Landing neighborhood east of Interstate 45 which opened in 1995. This village is named after two prominent educational facilities - Lone Star College, a junior college campus formerly operating under the name Montgomery County Community College, and the University Center, which offer bachelor and master's degree plans in cooperation with six major Texas Universities.

Creekside Park Village

 

The Village of Creekside Park encompasses nearly 3,500 acres and extends across the Montgomery/Harris County line. Creekside Park Villagehas room for more than 5,500 single-family homes, 540 age 55 and over homes, over 730 multi-family residences,
